    ATHLETE VILLAGE & TEAM CAMPS
In 2015, the Athlete Village will serve as a team camp area and also part of the race course (800m). Teams will enter via the side doors or the facility; as the race course will run directly through the Village! Move the Chaparral tent (pictured below) to the side and imagine a race coming down the center of the indoor arena.

The Norris-Penrose indoor arena is a 36,000 square foot tree spanned building, measuring 300′ x 120′ and in 2013 the building had an addition put on it, making it even larger. The arena is lighted, heated and has a public address system. A perfect mix of sand and clay makes up the floor, allowing the facility to accommodate non-equestrian events. This facility should provide excellent shade and a nice place to relax ,removed from the elements. Bring a blanket or tarp for the ground and know that the outside of the arena is also open for team camps. The Athlete Village is a one minute and thirty second walk to the start line!

    • Water: There are multiple locations for water. Feel free to help yourself, but if you have any questions about the water being potable or not, please feel free to ask our many volunteers.
    • Warm up/Cool down: ONCE RACING BEGINS, THE COURSE WILL BE CLOSED TO WARM UP.

    STADIUM SEATING

Teams are allowed to utilize the covered seating inside the stadium, but we encourage our teams to SIT ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE STADIUM, and move toward the back seating, as to provide excellent viewing for our guests. Obviously, no tents needed:). Parking revenue enables us to provide such a great finish venue with no general admission cost to the public.

    LineCOURSE

In order to help our volunteers find their respective locations, we have named sections of the course.  NPEC & BCP are extremely spacious facilities. Maybe you can use the same common language to meet up with your family, teammates, and coaches
